About Our Forklift Speed Limiters
Transmon’s programmable forklift speed limiters are ideal for enforcing a site speed limit on new and old equipment. An intelligent proportional control system is used to ensure hydraulic and incline driving performance levels are unaffected. Adaptive speed control can be provided when forklift speed limiters are combined with other Driver Assistance Systems, such as collision avoidance.
iTEch RSPC2 Forklift Speed Limiter
The RSPC2 Speed Limiter is suitable for diesel and propane powered forklifts and mobile equipment fitted with a mechanical-cable-operated throttle pedal. The programmable control system provides retrofitting possibilities for older equipment. The control system can enforce three different drive speeds without loss of power when combined with the kit or OEM speed sensor. Designed and tested to European electrical safety standard EN1175:2020.
iTEch-7 Forklift Speed Limiter
The iTEch-7 Speed Limiter is suitable for diesel, propane, and electric forklifts and mobile equipment with a drive-by-wire accelerator pedal. The programmable forklift speed limiter system can enforce up to three different drive speeds. The forklift speed limiter monitors the actual road speed and throttles back when the maximum permissible speed threshold is reached. Designed and tested to European electrical safety standard EN1175:2020.

iTEch RSPC3 Speed Limiter
New for 2026, the RSPC3 Speed Limiter is designed for warehouse material handling equipment operated with a hand or thumb control throttle. Compatible with both 5v and 12v joystick setups, the system provides speed limiting across a range of stand-up and ride-on warehouse equipment – including reach trucks, order pickers, and pallet jacks widely used in US distribution centers.
The speed control system supports up to three different drive speeds and can apply temporary speed restrictions when triggered by collision avoidance and speed zone systems. Speed measurement is not required for temporary restrictions, providing flexibility across different site configurations. Latch-Mode speed management ensures a controlled speed release, preventing sudden acceleration when restrictions are lifted.

Each harness connects directly to the existing throttle pedal wiring, allowing the iTEch-7 speed limiter to be integrated for a quick and simple installation. With universal 12-24v compatibility across diesel, propane, and electric equipment, our speed control systems can be retrofitted to both new and older fleets. For older equipment fitted with a mechanical cable throttle pedal, the RSPC2 speed limiter provides a retrofit-compatible alternative.

The Transmon iTEch Control is a single unit that combines multiple functions. The system monitors actual road speed and applies engine throttle restrictions as required to maintain the correct speed – meaning forklifts cannot exceed the set speed limit for your facility.
